Strawberry Crest took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 26-6 margin over the East Bay Indians. The Chargers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Indians, too.

Strawberry Crest didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off nine passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Joe Borchard and Aponte. Malachi Johnson was another major factor on D, picking up two sacks and making six total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Most of the squad's points came courtesy of special teams, who contributed 20 in total. Brayden Echols delivered a perfect 4-4 game. One of the most memorable scores? An impressive kickoff return for a touchdown from Aponte.
