Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Middletown North). They were the clear victors by a 15-6 margin over the St. Rose Purple Roses on Thursday. The win was some much needed relief for the Lions as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Middletown North's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for St. Rose, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Middletown North has already played their next game, a 7-3 win against Manalapan on the 25th. As for St. Rose, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 11-4 loss against Point Pleasant Beach on the 25th.
