Volleyball Game Preview: Blaine Borderites vs. Orcas Island Vikings

The Blaine Borderites will head out to challenge the Orcas Island Vikings at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Blaine lost 3-0 to Squalicum on Tuesday. The loss put an end to the Borderites' undefeated start to the season.

Meanwhile, Orcas Island came up short against Mount Vernon Christian on Tuesday and fell 3-1.

The final score came out to 25-23, 17-25, 25-15, 25-21.

Having lost for the first time this season, Blaine fell to 2-1. As for Orcas Island, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Everything went Blaine's way against Orcas Island in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, as Blaine made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Borderites since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
