Baseball Recap: Keystone Heights Comes Up Short

Keystone Heights's last matchup with Clay could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Thursday. The Indians lost 12-2 to the Blue Devils. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Indians, who until this game were averaging four runs allowed.

Austin Smith was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI.

Keystone Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Clay, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season.
