Basketball Recap: Roane County Picks Up Second Consecutive Win

Roane County won the last time they faced Poca and Anna Tolley did her part to make sure it happened again. The Raiders blew past the Dots 72-29 on Tuesday with plenty of help from Tolley, who posted 25 points and six boards. Her big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 16 points.

Josie Cox was another key player, putting up a point in addition to nine rebounds and three steals. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.

Roane County has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 72.0 points this season. As for Poca, their loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.
