Soccer Preview: New Albany vs. Salem        
        
		
             After two games on the road, New Albany is heading back home. They will host the Salem Lions  at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday. New Albany is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 5.7  goals per game  this season.
 Salem better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if last week is any indication, that's when New Albany really get things going. New Albany blew past Jennings County 5-1 on Saturday. Considering the Bulldogs have won five contests by more than two  goals this season, Saturday's  blowout was nothing new.

 Avery Holder scored all five of New Albany's goals,  bringing their combined season tally to 23 goals.
 Meanwhile, Salem was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. While the  3-3 score might suggest a draw, it was Scottsburg who was credited with the  win. Scottsburg got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to Salem's two.
 New Albany's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Salem, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4-1.
 Everything went New Albany's way against Salem in their previous meeting  back in September of 2022 as New Albany made off with  a  5-0 win. Will New Albany repeat their success,  or does  Salem have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
