Kern Valley is 8-2 against California City since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Broncs will look to defend their home field against the Ravens at 3:15 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Kern Valley comes in on three and California City on nine.

On Friday, Kern Valley made easy work of Rosamond and carried off a 14-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Broncs, who have now won 11 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, California City hadn't done well against Bishop Union recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Ravens came out on top in a nail-biter against the Broncos, sneaking past 4-2. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 5, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Blake Moore spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits and racked up 12 Ks. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in 14 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, California City saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Hammer, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. Hammer is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

California City pushed their record up to 18-9-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Kern Valley, their win bumped their record up to 15-7.

Kern Valley skirted past California City 13-12 when the teams last played back in April. Will the Broncs repeat their success, or do the Ravens have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
