Preview: Monmouth-Roseville Titans vs. Orion Chargers

Monmouth-Roseville has been on the road for three straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Orion Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Tuesday, Monmouth-Roseville was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 55-51 to Sherrard. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Monmouth-Roseville in their matchups with Sherrard: they've now lost four in a row.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Jake Steele, who scored 14 points. He is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Nico Avendano, who scored 12 points.

Meanwhile, Orion was beaten by Rockridge 69-37 on Thursday. Orion was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-17.

Monmouth-Roseville has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-14 record this season. As for Orion, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-12.

Monmouth-Roseville couldn't quite finish off Orion when the teams last played back in November of 2023 and fell 55-53. Will Monmouth-Roseville have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other basketball content.
