Preview: South Colonels vs. Doherty Memorial Highlanders
South has enjoyed a four-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Doherty Memorial Highlanders at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
South suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 65-38 loss at the hands of North. South has not had much luck with North recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Meanwhile, Doherty Memorial pushed their score all the way to 58 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 59-58 to Burncoat.
South has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Doherty Memorial, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
South came up short against Doherty Memorial in their previous meeting last Friday, falling 64-60. Can South avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
