Softball Recap: Searsport Comes Up Short

Searsport fell victim to Jonesport-Beals and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Royals, falling 16-0. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Vikings' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Searsport's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Jonesport-Beals, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2.

Coming up, Searsport will take on Sumner at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Jonesport-Beals, they will square off against Woodland at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
