Basketball Game Preview: Toppenish Wildcats vs. Grandview Greyhounds

The Toppenish Wildcats are taking a road trip to challenge the Grandview Greyhounds at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Toppenish is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Toppenish lost to Prosser at home by a 55-37 margin. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 96th, while the Mustangs are ranked 29th).

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Grandview against East Valley on Tuesday as the squad secured a 64-26 win. The Greyhounds have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 27 points or more this season.

Grandview is also on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 45 points. As for Toppenish, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9.

Toppenish came up short against Grandview in their previous matchup on January 4th, falling 62-57. Can Toppenish avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
