Millennium suffers sixth straight loss on the road

Recap: Millennium Lions vs. Cornerstone Charter Cardinals

The Millennium Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their tenth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Cornerstone Charter, falling 73-32. Millennium lost against Cornerstone Charter in their previous head to head back in January of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 81-32 score last time.

Cornerstone Charter can attribute much of their success to Tristan Cole, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds and seven assists. Those nine rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Lake Bristol, who scored 16 points.

Millennium bumped their record down to 1-10 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Cornerstone Charter, their win bumped their record up to 4-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Millennium will take on Bethany at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in North Carolina (Bethany is ranked 684th, while Millennium is ranked 687th). As for Cornerstone Charter, they will play host again and welcome College Prep & Leadership Academy, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
