Volleyball Recap: North Lamar's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

North Lamar lost against Pleasant Grove back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Panthers fell 3-1 to the Hawks. The Panthers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-23, 16-25, 25-15.

Alexa Lane paced North Lamar's offense, picking up 11 kills. Lane got some help from Landry Spencer and her 28 assists. Finally, Ava Rangel kept North Lamar's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

North Lamar's defeat dropped their record down to 18-13. As for Pleasant Grove, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-11 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. North Lamar is set to take on their familiar foe Sulphur Springs at 4:45 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Pleasant Grove will face off against rival Paris at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
