Softball Recap: Livingston Lions vs. Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Livingston couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears by a score of 4-3 on Saturday. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Bears recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Brooke Anderson was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she pitched 5.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. What's more, she gave up only zero walks, the fewest she's had since back in March.

On the hitting side, Brianna Nelson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. Corinne Henderson was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
