Football Recap: Claremore Christian Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Claremore Christian won the last time they faced Crossover Prep and things went their way on Friday too. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 50-24 margin over the Lions. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by 24 points or more this season.

Defeat or not, Crossover Prep got some senior leadership from Brandon McBee and Bennett Goodson. McBee picked up 140 receiving yards and four scores, while Goodson threw for 186 yards and four touchdowns on only 15 passes. Those four passing touchdowns set a new season-high mark for Goodson.

The victory was the third in a row for Claremore Christian, bringing their record up to 6-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.7 points over those games. As for Crossover Prep, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Claremore Christian and Crossover Prep will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Warriors see the field they'll take on Life Christian at 5:00 p.m. on the 8th. As for Crossover Prep, their break will end when they face Abundant Life at 7:00 p.m. on the 7th.
