Soccer Recap: Wheat Ridge Starts Season with Victory Against Summit + How To Watch

Wheat Ridge took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Summit Tigers a 3-0 shutout. Wheat Ridge were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on Summit, so Wheat Ridge were just returning the favor.

Haakon Gruenhagen and Jonah Halsor scored all three of Wheat Ridge's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Summit is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wheat Ridge will venture away from home to take on Denver North at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Summit, they will head out to square off against Battle Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be Summit's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
