Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Overton). They came out on top against the Gibbon Buffaloes by a score of  74-67  on Friday. The  win was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on three straight.
Overton found their leader in sophomore  Brock McCarter, who  almost  dropped  a double-double with 30 points and nine  boards. That makes it four consecutive games in which  McCarter has scored at least a third of Overton's points. Another player making a difference was  Eli Luther, who  went 5-for-12  to rack up 12  points in addition to seven  assists and seven  rebounds.
 Overton was working as a unit and  finished the game with 21  assists. That's the most  assists they've managed all season.
 Gibbon lost  despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was   Keaton Heikkinen, who  went 5-for-12  en route to 17 points and four  steals. He is also on a roll when it comes to  three-point shooting accuracy, as he's  posted one of at least 40% in the last three games he's  played.  Tyler Weismann was another key player,  almost  dropping  a double-double with 18  points and nine  boards.
Overton's victory was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 12-10. As for Gibbon, their loss  ended  a  three-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 9-13.
 Overton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  match,  a  63-47  win against Southern Valley on the 24th. As for Gibbon, they also  wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  contest,  a  69-60  defeat against Minden on the 24th.
