Basketball Recap: Oak Grove Takes a Loss

Oak Grove was the 57-53 winner over Live Oak when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Oak Grove Eagles were outmatched by the Live Oak Acorns and fell 64-35. The match marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Live Oak got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Devon DeHaro out in front who went 7 for 11 on his way to 19 points and five rebounds. Nathan Lozano was another key player, going 5 of 11 en route to 13 points and seven assists.

Oak Grove is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-12. As for Live Oak, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-12.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Ann Sobrato the next time they take the court. Live Oak will host Ann Sobrato at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Oak Grove will host them at 7:00 p.m. on February 14th.
