Sunrise Mountain's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 59-32 victory over the Eldorado Firehawks. The Miners' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Delyla Ross had an outrageously good game as she posted 20 points and seven steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Alexander, who had eight points.

When it comes to explaining why Eldorado lost, don't look at Tyteaira Foreman. Despite the final result, she earned 12 points along with five boards and four steals. That was a full 37.5% of Eldorado's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points. Skyler Bell was another key player, putting up eight points and six rebounds.

Sunrise Mountain's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Eldorado, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Sunrise Mountain will venture away from home to take on Basic at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Basic's defense has only allowed 30 points per game this season, so Sunrise Mountain's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Eldorado, they will welcome Somerset Academy Losee at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
