Basketball Recap: Jamestown Comes Up Short

Jamestown lost against Santa Fe back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Jamestown took a 49-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Santa Fe Chiefs.

Leading Santa Fe to victory were Mia Lark and Emma Michael. Lark posted 17 points and six steals, while Michael went 5 of 11 en route to 12 points and eight rebounds. The dominant performance gave Lark a new career-high in steals. Another player making a difference was Addison Mullins, who earned ten points.

Jamestown's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Santa Fe, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.

Jamestown will square off against Tuscumbia at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Jamestown is facing Tuscumbia at the right time seeing as Tuscumbia is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Santa Fe, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 28-25 loss against Carrollton on the 1st.
