After a string of three wins, Bedford Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They were beaten by the Summit Academy Eagles 77-36. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-16.

Summit Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Amerie Santana, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine assists. The matchup was Santana's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jazmyne Rios, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds.

Bedford Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Summit Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season.
