Baseball Recap: Morse Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Morse's offense. They lost 15-0 to the Mission Bay Buccaneers on Tuesday. The Tigers have struggled against the Buccaneers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Morse got a good showing from Gabe Martinez, who tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, Morse saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Moises Davison, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Davison is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last ten games he's played.

Morse's defeat dropped their record down to 7-19-1. As for Mission Bay, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 21-6.

While Morse had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
