Yates extended their winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Chris Brown. The Lions blew past the Kashmere Fighting Rams 56-0 on Friday with plenty of help from Brown, who rushed for 100 yards and two TDs on only five carries, and also threw for 89 yards and three touchdowns on perfect 9-for-9 passing. He is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in each of the last three games he's played.

One reason for the win was Yates' imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as five different players picked up one apiece. Autril Watkins was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making seven total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Yates' record now sits at 6-0. As for Kashmere, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Yates will look to defend their home field on Saturday against North Forest at 12:00 p.m. The Lions will need to watch out since the Bulldogs have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Kashmere, they will head out to square off against Northside at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Fighting Rams will be up against the Panthers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35.75 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
