Preview: Bluestem vs. Yates Center
On Friday Bluestem take on Yates Center . Both of those teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
There's no need to mince words: Bluestem lost to Pleasanton last Friday, and they lost bad. The score wound up at 6-46. The defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of junior Nicholas Laidler, who accumulated 158 passing yards and picked up 33 yards on the ground, and senior Hunter Clift, who picked up 68 yards on the ground and accumulated 85 passing yards.
Meanwhile, Yates Center have to be hurting after a devastating 8-40 loss at the hands of Northern Heights. This makes it the second loss in a row for Yates Center.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a loss, both will be hungry for the victory. Neither squad could put together much of an offensive attack, so expect every point to count.
