Recap: Grace Christian Warriors vs. Rappahannock County
After flying high against the United Christian Academy Crusaders last Monday, the Grace Christian Warriors came back down to earth. Grace Christian took a 77-58 bruising from Rappahannock County on Thursday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Grace Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Justin Hain, who scored 25 points. Hain has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last 11 times he's played. Another player making a difference was Davis Reid, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds and six assists.
Grace Christian dropped their record down to 12-8 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Rappahannock County, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.
Grace Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rappahannock County, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Madison County at 7:30 p.m. on February 9th. Rappahannock County has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 192 points over their last three games.
