Softball Recap: South Greene Makes It Four in a Row at Home

South Greene's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Chuckey-Doak Black Knights with a sharp 15-7 win. The Rebels might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by six runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Madison Hensley, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2024. Whitney Reaves was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.

South Greene pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Chuckey-Doak, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

South Greene has already played their next contest, an 11-0 victory against Hampton on the 8th. As for Chuckey-Doak, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 15-1 defeat against University School on the 4th.
