Basketball Recap: Golden Triumphs

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Golden walked away with it. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Pueblo South Colts on Tuesday, sneaking past 53-50. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Demons as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

It was another big night for Leif Hansen, who went 9-for-10 en route to 20 points and eight rebounds. What's more, he also posted a 90% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Sam Schillie, who posted 13 points.

Golden's win bumped their record up to 14-10. As for Pueblo South, they dropped their record down to 10-14 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Golden has already played their next contest, a 65-59 loss against Lutheran on the 28th. Pueblo South does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
