Edgewater is a perfect 9-0 against University since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Eagles will welcome the Cougars at 6:30 p.m.

Edgewater fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Freedom on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Eagles have suffered since March 13, 2025.

Edgewater saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Yusef Charles, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, University was able to grind out a solid win over Space Coast on Thursday, taking the game 11-7. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.

The team relied heavily on Griffin Elliott, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Taylor Hipp, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

University always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .526. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March of 2025.

Edgewater's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-11-1. As for University, their victory bumped their record up to 4-9.

Edgewater beat University 4-0 in their previous matchup back in March. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cougars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
