Basketball Recap: Bradford Comes Up Short

Bradford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 41-38 heartbreaker at the hands of the Brookville Raiders. While losing is never fun, the Owls can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 548th, while the Raiders are ranked 209th).

Brookville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Luke Burton, who posted eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jesse Lucas, who had four points and 11 rebounds.

Bradford's loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Brookville, their record now sits at 12-6.

Bradford has already played their next match, a 58-36 defeat against Elk County Catholic on the 11th. As for Brookville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 66-49 victory against West Branch on the 8th.
