Preview: Westside Seminoles vs. Spalding Jaguars
Westside has been on the road for two straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Spalding Jaguars at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Friday, everything came up roses for Westside on the road against Central as the team secured a 66-39 win. With that win, Westside brought their scoring average up to 57 points per game.
Westside had a senior duo take command as Chauncey Williams dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds and Marcus Hood scored 13 points along with 5 assists. Joshua Harden was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 7 rebounds and 3 steals.
Meanwhile, Spalding waltzed into Saturday's matchup with two straight wins but they left with three. They managed a 69-65 win over Veterans.
The win got Westside back to even at 1-1. As for Spalding, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Everything went Westside's way against Spalding in their previous matchup back in February as Westside made off with a 82-57 win. Will Westside repeat their success, or does Spalding have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
