Softball Recap: Bristol's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Bristol won against Chaney last Tuesday with 13 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Panthers walked away with a 13-9 victory over the Windham Bombers. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bombers, too.

The team relied heavily on Cadence Imhoff, who went 2-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Alexa Atchison, who scored three runs while going 3-for-4.

Bristol was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Windham only posted a batting average of .321.

The win was the third in a row for Bristol, bringing their record up to 4-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.7 runs over those games. As for Windham, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Bristol will square off against rival St. John at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Windham is set to challenge their familiar foe Chalker at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
