Volleyball Game Preview: Bacon Academy Bobcats vs. Griswold Wolverines

Bacon Academy is 1-9 against Griswold since September of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Bobcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wolverines at 5:30 p.m.

On Wednesday, Bacon Academy came up short against Montville and fell 3-1.

Bacon Academy couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Montville a tough time in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-23, 23-25, 25-21, 30-28.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Griswold, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. Everything went their way against Plainfield on Wednesday as they made off with a 3-0 win.

Griswold was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-21, 25-19.

Griswold's win came from a few key players Bacon Academy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Carly Rubino, who had 11 digs and one assist.

The victory got Griswold back to even at 2-2. As for Bacon Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Bacon Academy might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Griswold in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Bobcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
