Basketball Recap: Union's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Union needed a changed in momentum after dropping three straight games and they got it from Braylon Ward. The Union Tigers simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat the Harman Panthers 72-31 thanks in part to Ward, who went 10-for-21 to rack up 27 points in addition to eight assists and eight boards. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Union's points.

Another player making a difference was Corbin Streets, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in blocks (three).

Union's victory bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Harman, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Union will host Hundred at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Harman, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against East Hardy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. East Hardy will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Harman surely won't give up without a fight.
