The Bellows Free Academy Bobwhites/Comets will take on the Essex Hornets at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Bellows Free Academy has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Essex will arrive with three straight wins.

Bellows Free Academy is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Vermont's top teams: Champlain Valley Union, who was ranked eighth at the time (Bellows Free Academy was ranked 17th). Bellows Free Academy took a 43-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Champlain Valley Union.

Meanwhile, Essex posted their biggest victory since January 2nd on Monday. They breezed past Rice Memorial to the tune of 64-30.

Essex's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-9. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points over those games. As for Bellows Free Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 9-14.
