Andrew DeCosta commands the offense for Scotties win

Recap: Bordentown Scotties vs. Nottingham Northstars

The Bordentown Scotties scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They came out on top against Nottingham by a score of 79-69. The victory was all the more spectacular given Bordentown's disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 294th, while Nottingham is ranked 54th).

Bordentown's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Andrew DeCosta led the charge by scoring 27 points along with eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points DeCosta has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Martin, who scored 15 points along with four steals.

Bordentown is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-8 record this season. As for Nottingham, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-2.

Bordentown will head out on the road to face off against Northern Burlington at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. Northern Burlington is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. Nottingham will take on North Hunterdon at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
