McEachern scored a stunning upset when it knocked off North Cobb, 49-27. At the time, the Warriors were ranked 15th in the state, while the Indians were 42nd.
The biggest upset of the week belonged to North Cobb, who took down 15th ranked North Cobb, 49-27.
South Cobb's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Stephon Masha threw for 284 and one touchdown and Jeremiah Alphabet had 168 yards receiving. On the ground Chauncey Ingram chipped in 180 yards. Malik Carter helped South Cobb's passing attack out by catching four balls for 33 yards.
South Cobb's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Eagles feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Masha has thrown for 1637 yards and six touchdowns this season, while Alphabet has 22 catches for 444 yards. Ingram leads the league in rushing with 753 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Eagles take on Marietta. South Cobb is in first place, while the Blue Devils are in fourth place.
McEachern extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Warriors, 49-27. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.
