Softball Recap: George-Little Rock Comes Up Short

George-Little Rock made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Mustangs fell just short of the Royals by a score of 4-2 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Mustangs have suffered since July 1, 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for George-Little Rock and nudges their season record down to 2-5. As for Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union, their victory bumped their record up to 9-3.

George-Little Rock didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 20-0 loss against Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn on the 13th. As for Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 13-12 win against St. Mary's on the 13th.
