Volleyball Recap: Clay Blue Devils vs. Bolles Bulldogs
Clay was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Bolles Bulldogs. The Blue Devils were not able to make up for their loss to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.
The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-15, 25-10.
Lillian Tamburello paced Clay's offense, picking up four kills. Tamburello got some help from Jordan Kumm and her nine assists.
Bolles was led to victory by Riley Pate and Mary Cronk. Pate had 17 assists and six digs, while Cronk had 13 digs and two aces. Pate is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in each of the last four games she's played.
Clay's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Bolles, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-6.
Clay wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-2 win against Bishop Snyder on the 17th. As for Bolles, they will venture away from home to take on Episcopal School of Jacksonville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The contest will give the Bulldogs their first taste of in-conference action this season.
