Basketball Recap: Fairfax Christian Takes a Loss

Fairfax Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a hard 42-26 fall against the Evergreen Christian Eagles. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 56-21 last Tuesday.

It was another big night for Maddie Wivell, who went 5 for 10 en route to 13 points along with six rebounds and five steals for Evergreen Christian. Another player making a difference was Adriana Jenkins, who posted seven points and four steals.

Fairfax Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Evergreen Christian, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-14.

Fairfax Christian has already played their next game (against Christ Chapel Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Evergreen Christian will head out on the road to challenge Oakcrest at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
