Lexington Catholic waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with ten straight wins... but they left with 11. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Lexington Christian Eagles. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Knights also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2025.

Eamon Hughes tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over 4.2 innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jake Scott, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. John Crandall also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Lexington Catholic's win bumped their record up to 21-5. As for Lexington Christian, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 12-9 record.

Lexington Catholic will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
