Softball Recap: Pine Valley Central Comes Up Short

Pine Valley Central managed to slip by Cattaraugus-Little Valley the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Panthers came up short against the Timberwolves on Friday, falling 12-4. The Panthers' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Pine Valley Central saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Danica Farnham, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Lily Hohl also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Pine Valley Central's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Cattaraugus-Little Valley, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pine Valley Central will square off against Randolph at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Cattaraugus-Little Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Falconer at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Golden Falcons' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Timberwolves' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
