Basketball Recap: Cape Cod Academy Skates Past Sturgis West with Ease

A well-balanced attack led Cape Cod Academy over Sturgis West in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Seahawks blew the Navigators out of the water with a 65-21 final score. The Seahawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 40 points or more this season.

Leading Cape Cod Academy to victory were Cody Tolley and Mike Berry. Tolley went 6-for-8 on his way to 14 points and four steals, while Berry almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine boards. Berry's big performance that evening made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Chris Bartolomei, who posted 11 points.

Cape Cod Academy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season. As for Sturgis West, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Cape Cod Academy will face off against Dennis-Yarmouth Regional at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sturgis West, they will host Carver at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
