Basketball Recap: Rock Creek Academy Takes a Loss

Rock Creek Academy and Christian Academy squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Rock Creek Academy had to settle for second. They were beaten by the Christian Academy Warriors 53-18. Having soared to a lofty 55 points in the game before, the Lions couldn't push the score so high this time.

It was another big night for Addison Jackson, who went 8 of 15 on her way to 18 points along with eight rebounds and three steals for Christian Academy. The team also got some help courtesy of Leah Stevens, who went 5 for 10 en route to 16 points.

Rock Creek Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season. As for Christian Academy, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 13-10.

Rock Creek Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Christian Academy, they will challenge New Washington at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
