Recap: Mountain Home Bombers vs. Greenbrier Panthers

The Mountain Home Bombers were the 56-21 winner over the Greenbrier Panthers when they last played one another back in November of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Mountain Home lost to Greenbrier on the road by a decisive 34-20 margin on Friday.

Despite the loss, Mountain Home still got an impressive performance from Chris Hubbard, who rushed for 139 yards and a touchdown, and also picked up 78 receiving yards. Hubbard is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played.

Even if they lost, Mountain Home's defensive line still kept up the pressure with six sacks. Greenbrier's QB won't forget Aiden Setzer anytime soon given Setzer sacked him twice.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Greenbrier to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kane Richardson, who rushed for 75 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 207 yards and two touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes. Greenbrier also got help from Miles Miller who showed off his sure hands for 90 receiving yards.

Mountain Home's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Greenbrier, their win bumped their record up to an identical 5-5.

Mountain Home will head out on the road to face off against Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arkansas (Catholic is ranked 22nd, while Mountain Home is ranked 33rd). As for Greenbrier, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Searcy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
