Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Desert's Fifth in Last Six Outings

Desert won the last time they faced Kern Valley and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Desert Scorpions walked away with a 57-44 victory over the Kern Valley Broncs. The Scorpions pushed the score to 49-23 by the end of the third, a deficit the Broncs cut but never quite recovered from.

Kern Valley lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Aiden Madden, who posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Zane Carver, who put up eight points.

Desert is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Kern Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Desert will square off against Bishop Union at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Kern Valley, they will challenge Frazier Mountain at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Kern Valley is facing Frazier Mountain at the right time seeing as Frazier Mountain is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
