Basketball Recap: Ladanian Mckenzie and Jeremiah Marson Secure Win for Piper

The third road matchup was the charm for Piper, as they earned their first away win of the season. They skirted past the Deerfield Beach Bucks 54-51. This was payback for the Bengals, who suffered a 76-65 loss the last time these two teams met.

Piper was led to victory by Jeremiah Marson and LaDanian Mckenzie. Marson shot 53% from the field to rack up 20 points and three steals, while Mckenzie went 6-for-10 en route to 12 points along with five boards and four blocks. Thanks to that strong game, Marson now owns an excellent 50% shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Monestime, who shot 43% from the field on his way to 14 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.

Piper's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Deerfield Beach, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-3.

Piper wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 68-53 win against Coconut Creek on the 4th. As for Deerfield Beach, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 66-20 victory against Hallandale on the 2nd.
