Football Recap: Archie Skates Past Bishop Leblond with Ease

Archie waltzed into their matchup on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Bishop LeBlond Eagles 71-22. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Whirlwinds also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2024.

Despite the loss, Bishop LeBlond still got an impressive performance from Cole Sigrist, who picked up 110 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Sigrist also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making three total tackles and defending one pass in addition to snagging an interception.

Archie's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Bishop LeBlond, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Coming up, Archie will square off against Drexel/Miami at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Archie will need to watch out since Drexel/Miami has now posted at least 31 points in their last three games. As for Bishop LeBlond, they will host Kansas City East Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will be up against the Lions' rather soft defense (which has allowed 49.6 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
