Baseball Recap: Jamestown's Win Ends Three-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Jamestown's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Pilot Grove Tigers by a score of 10-6. This was payback for Jamestown, who suffered a 4-3 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Tate Duncan made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits. Duncan was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. That stolen base was his first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brayden Schoenthal, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Hudson Clay was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Jamestown's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-6. As for Pilot Grove, their loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-7.
