Football Recap: Pine Belt Extends Road Winning Streak to Four

Pine Belt had won three straight road games and Samuel Smith did his part to make it four on Saturday. The Spartans simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Magnolia Wildcats 62-6 with plenty of help from Smith, who rushed for 189 yards and five scores while picking up 11.8 yards per carry, and also threw for 38 yards and one TD. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his eighth straight game with at least 106 rushing yards.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Pine Belt's defense and their seven sacks. Will Zender was especially locked on to Magnolia's QB and sacked him four times. Thanks to that big game, Zender is now up to 7 sacks on the season.

Pine Belt's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Magnolia, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-9.

As of now, neither Pine Belt nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
