Baseball Recap: Eastern Wayne Comes Up Short

Eastern Wayne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 23-0 to the American Leadership Academy-Johnston Patriots. If the Warriors were looking for revenge after losing 15-9 to the Patriots when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Eastern Wayne's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for American Leadership Academy-Johnston, the win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Coming up, Eastern Wayne will square off against Wayne Preparatory Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Eastern Wayne has given up an average of 21.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for American Leadership Academy-Johnston, they will take on Wake Prep Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
